JIKIDEN REIKI
Reiki is a gentle yet powerful form of energy healing that originated in Japan. With Jikiden Reiki being from the truest and most traditional teachings.
The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words:
– Rei meaning ‘Universal’
– Ki meaning ‘Life energy’
Overall Jikiden Reiki can
– Reducing stress and anxiety
– Promote deep relaxation and better sleep
– Support the body’s natural healing processes
– Encourage emotional clarity and balance
– Help release energetic blockages
– Enhance overall wellbeing and harmony
the ‘real’ reiki
-
Reiki works by channelling this universal life energy to support the body’s natural ability to heal itself, promoting deep relaxation and emotional balance.
-
Reiki was founded in the early 20th century by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist. Through years of study, meditation, and practice, he developed this healing method and began teaching it to others. Reiki has since spread worldwide, becoming a trusted complementary therapy used alongside modern medicine, wellness practices, and spiritual growth.
-
Jikiden Reiki means ‘directly passed down’-reiki.
It stays very close to the way Reiki was originally taught in Japan by Mikao Usui and passed through his student Chujiro Hayashi, without Western adaptations or added techniques.
While many modern Reiki styles (often called Western or intuitive Reiki) have evolved with new symbols, angelic guides, chakras systems, or personal interpretations, Jikiden Reiki focuses on simplicity, hands-on healing, and practical results.
the benefits
-
ikiden Reiki is taught through a clear, unbroken Japanese lineage.
This gives students and clients confidence that the practice is rooted in the original teachings rather than modern spiritual additions.– You receive Reiki as it was intended – pure, simple, and effective.
-
Jikiden Reiki places strong emphasis on:
Treating specific physical ailments Working with emotional trauma stored in the body Using Reiki for practical, everyday health issues– Clients often feel more tangible improvements in pain, stress, fatigue, and emotional overwhelm.
-
During my additional Okuden level training, I have learnt the skill of Byosen. The ability to listen to and feel areas of imbalance through the sensations in my hands.
– This means your treatment becomes more personalised and responsive to what your body actually needs in that moment. I am able to adapt what is needed for you through the sensations I will feel through my hands.
“Just for today, do not anger.
Just for today, do not worry.
Be grateful.
Work diligently.
Be kind to others.”

qualifications
When deciding who to take my teachings and qualifications with, for me it was vital to learn from the direct source of the traditional form of Reiki, from the school of the Jikiden Reiki Institute in Japan.
My Shihan (teacher) learned directly from Frank Arjava Petter, who in turn learnt directly from Chiyoko Yamaguchi, a primary keeper of the original Reiki teachings in Japan. The lineage was direct and this for me was key.
I am fully qualified in Shoden and Okuden which means I can also offer Reiki in person or from distance.
